The way this bearing housing is supported in our plates is no different then the majority of the plates on the market. The bearing housing tabs are much wider then you are thinking based on this CAD shot. Width in this case is just as important and the tab thickness. Keep in mind that the tabs are under an additional 5/8" thick aluminum plate.

The bearing housing is offset 1/4" from the centerline of the plate which yields about 1/2 degree of positive caster. You can get an additional 3/16" of caster travel by sliding the camber plate backwards.

question about adding bump travel: Does adding bump travel mean losing droop travel of the shock? I'm curious if it is the case and if it doesn't matter on our cars...

If shocks are designed to work at a certain ride height, does adding bump travel - moving the shock shaft up beyond the designed working ride height of the shock. Does this matter or is the shock happy at higher heights just not lower?

Also, will you make a set of plates that work with stock shocks and stock spring size while keeping the stock ride height?

Good question, hopefully I can help... Technically, you are losing bump travel when you lower the car with single height adjustable coilovers. The point of the caster/camber plate is to gain as much of the lost bump travel back by keep the stack height as minimal as possible.

But... If you somehow increase/add bump travel, you might lose droop travel because the coilover can only extend itself out so far.

If you have any other questions, please feel free to email me - jarrett (@) raceseng.com

Thanks much

Hey Jared I saw you had support for the MCS shocks for the rears, do the fronts work as well without any special sleeves/nuts? What about the upper perch?

We can make the CasCam work with any coilover set up at no additional charge. We might have to machine a custom shock nut and bushing but once we do we add it to our fitment list. We made extra shock nuts and bushings with no internal features. We can design them to work with your coilover and machine the internal features.

Depending on the coilover, we might already have the parts to make the MCS coilovers work!

There is a downloadable form on the product page which you can fill out and send to us.

We provide a spring perch with the CasCam, they are available for 2 1/2", 2 1/4" and 60mm springs.

Please email me directly if you have any other questions - jarrett@raceseng.com

Cool. I am Phil I emailed you the MCS CAD diagrams some time ago. They work with the stock BRZ tophats in the front, the top of the shaft is identical to stock, so if you know what combination works with the stock struts it would work with the MCS ones in the front. Same goes for the rear.
