Nice. That means TireRack is pretty accurate and they are about 1lbs lighter than the Z1 in the same size.

What about a carbon fiber hood? Someone keyed my hood and i might use that as an excuse to get one

I think the hoods on these cars are aluminum and weigh very little . I know with my old miata it was aluminum and didnt way anything.

-Exchange exhaust's.. header and complete header back with a straight pipe and a Turndown coming off the midpipe.. Weight saved... 32lbs.

-2nd .. LW Battery in place of stocker... another 27lbs or so.. thats almost 60 lbs right there..

-Trunk Junk.. - 35 lbs

my car right now weighs about 2584 in Current trim... I think I can get another 35 lbs out of it.. we'll see.. goal is 2500lbs fighting weight.. but I will settle for 2550.. for now..

this.. they are Aluminum.... so it would be minimal weight savings anyway..

That's crazy talk in STX, Bill... Where/how? lol

I'd be super-pleased if I could get it down to ~2750 w/ me in it & I'm no lightweight (195-200).

I will probably evolve the car to SM--then that weight should be very close to a reality--even w/ the hairdryer/IC, etc.

working on it..... I am 225... so 2775 with me in it..still looking for additional weight removal.. Sound Generator..-9 lbs.... thinking about ditching the Nav unit for a single din lighter weight model..Stock speakers for so decent lighter weight ones.. you know the drill...
