I have a sick ass car and i got a job, and if my wife (which i haven't availed yet) freaks out just because i bought my toy, then i'd make sure the prenup comes in handy.

This car is for men the age of people probably considering getting married. It urges them to get it now while they still can. lol

But a man is expected to spend 10k-30k on a rock that does absolutely no good and provides 0 utility. 3 months paycheque on an engagement ring is a general rule of thumb. What's more practical? A car to get around or a rock? Women in general will never see the logic.

I was thinking about selling my FR-S due to a recent situation and my GF said I want you to be happy you should keep it.

She rocks

I was fortunate for several reasons:
1. My wife knew that I was pining away for the FR-S for months before I ever test drove one. I was very passionate that I must have one - as long as the test drive went well.
2. I actually took my wife for a test drive in it. She is actually afraid of the RWD.
3. All the financials came together (Trade-in, purchase price, insurance)
4. Two carseats fit in the back and my wife and I are short.
5. I agreed to go to Disney World with the family (this might have been the clincher)...............ok, who am I kidding, of course Disney was the clincher, but who cares, it is well worth it.

truth is they are right, and we all know it!.the way they see it is,the f**kin' car is useless,
totally with out merit, plus they can't drive it anyway, either because we won't let 'em,OR they don't know how! if you are a family man,or just married,no matter, they feel betrayed,
because the fu**in' thing is really a toy.the real issue is the money.when they determine you dropped 25 "large" on a plaything, they go ballistic and envision you tryin' to "sneak some" ya just gotta "man" up,and do it with the fervent hope that they will get over it in time!..just sayin'

My Misogynistic side thinks, "Oh how the women squirm to see the men's happiness, not predicated on them. They find the man's happiness through the car repugnant and repulsive."

I both endorse and apologize [for] that.

It's a pretty sly ad playing on the sense that some men have that "their woman" is trying to bring them down. The subliminal message is that the car offers a "remasculinazation" of men who have been "diminished" through inevitable domestic compromise. The perversely clever thing is that it uses sadism (causing the suffering/disappointment/anger of their spouses) as a surrogate for beating to achieve dominance over their spouses. Very, very sly.
