Would you rather have these people build your cars or 'gaijin' who listens to rap / angry rock music that makes you wanna kill something?

At least I have a peace of mind these cars wont be getting any dents with this kind of music in the bg.

The crickets dont come alive until after the first 300 miles.

Great video!! I just love the quirkiness of Japan. What a wonderful product they've made.

Um no it's done to check for abnormal noise and leaks.

The engine is ice cold when it's started the first time at the end of the assembly line and driven straight into alignment/head light alignment/brake test/redline run up. Given that cars roll of the line at a rate of about 1 per minute there is no time to warm up a car.

There is no "bed in" process involved.

Sorry, I think what I wrote was misinterpreted. I didn't mean that the car was broken in at factory and that takes quite a bit of time and will be done during ownership. On the otherhand the piston rings should be bedded in before it leaves the factory.

Again there is no "bed in" process involved. Todays engines are so well engineered and the quality control processes are so tight that there really is no need.

I've been doing this for a long time and exclusivly on an engine line. We don't take any steps that would even resemble "break in" or "bed in" as you guys have described it.

Most of you have never been to Japan, have you? It's such an interesting place, and the people are awesome.
