I assume you put one in yourself? Was it built to spec or was it another stock motor? And I assume you blew under boost?

Was an engine from a crashed car, NA but might have been tuned with a header, looking at his build the engine was stock for a good >70k miles at least before it blew.

Edit: Relevant to the thread I'm creeping up to 45k.

I never thought I'd say this, but I don't drive nearly enough. Last I checked over this past weekend (last time I was in the car was Sunday afternoon) I had about 17100km, so 10625 or so miles. I figured I'd be keeping the mileage off, but didn't think I'd be doing it quite this effectively.

I would have to look for an exact number (been a while since I checked) but I must be at least at 60K or so in just a year and a half.
Haven't lost a drop of oil or coolant, no TOB or shift issues, no weird sounds, tails are fine and other than a pile of oil changes the car has never had any other service required.

Pretty sure mine is drinking coolant, but need to remember to check before I start the damned thing this coming Friday. Always a struggle to check cause it's stored in a friends garage through the week and I'm always in a rush to get home on Friday afternoons.

Typical (or entirely my fault) interior rattles (I swear it wasn't from me pulling off the C pillars to install the Intec high mount brake light).

Then there's the AT downshift issue, but I think that blame can be placed entirely on the service department, since I've been nagging them about it for almost 10 months now.

Mine is still right on the mark for coolent. Now in reality maybe they added some at oil change but it was never shown on the sheet and I would think it would be.

That is one of the things keeping me from changing my brake light actually. So far I do not seem to have any of the famous interior noises and I am a tad leery about pulling stuff apart and causing them.

I think this is my least favorite complaint, easily surpasses the crickets, taillight condensation and rattles.

Water evaporates. Get over it.

I'm super happy with the end result of the new brake light, but I managed to lose some clips into the abyss of the cars frame. Need to order some new ones and tear it apart again to replace them. That should take care of the rattles

Though, if the woman is in the car with me, I can't hear the rattles over her nagging

Not really a complaint, more of an observation. Complaining about forgetting to check it.

Yes it does but when it happens faster than it really should it can mean a problem though. I always chuckle when guys check it cold and say "my overflow is empty where did it go?" Ummm... it is called an expansion tank for a reason.

Guilty. There is only so much you can do in a 4 hour round trip commute on a straight highway.

There's 2 sort-of-kind-of-a-little-bit turns between London and Toronto!

There are some nice gentle curves between London and Windsor. Thank god for ramps. Out of shear boredom I have whiped off on a random ramp, hauled ass around and back onto the highway.
