I have not heard of SX2s being discontinued. In fact, I got eight of them this week. And another friend bought four from Wal-Mart last week. If you need a source PM me.

Hmmm, perhaps it is just where I am looking then. I do have a bit of an inside guy deal, but he can only source two of them lol. Debating if it's worth to get the two then just get two others from somewhere else.

I had Z2/Z3 for two years, but since I was doing more track time this year I switched to Federal RS-RRs. So far they've been great - wear is comparable if not better than the Z3s. More progressive at the edge so easier to control. I haven't done a back to back on the same day, so it's hard to speak to data, but I am faster on them vs. the Z3s, but that could be due to skill level improving. Oh, they're also $100 bucks a piece on Ebay for 235/40/17 so hard to beat!

I've run several sets of SX2s and like the performance and the cost, but some part of me wants quicker lap times. And... kind of like to not have the corner workers freak out that I haven't seen the checkered since my tires are making (a lot of) noise on the cool down lap even though I'm at like 5/10ths

How much faster are the RS-4s vs SX2? Is it worth the (sizable) cost delta? How do they last for HPDE vs. the SX2?
