That's what I was meaning Just didn't state it clearly in my post. I would say that this is Subaru's half of the testing, and Toyota's half (maybe a different share to each company?) is being done at the Nurburgring, then afterwards they will collaborate data and analyze it

no one will probably believe me but just to add to my last post i came up with FR2 for a name on the thread on club 4ag where toyota asked for input for their new sports car back in 08, waaaaay before anyone in the media speculated on the FR-S naming. so toyota you owe me for giving you the idea for the name! jk

And FFS someone with a truck and DLSR find it, drive by and take dash pics. Europeans get quality pics and people in the states use a 1.2mp cell camera. My damn Epic 4G takes better pics.

Since it's in CA, I say Scion model. Roofline looks too tall and wheels/big profile tires kill it, granted I can switch them but I shouldn't have too. Tell me how does the standard TC come with 18s and spoiler, looks good for less, and they want to release this with 17s with no spoiler or some BS lip??? GTFO! You charge $23-25k for a small ass barely practical made for racing Scion you better bring the 18s, led tails & fronts, decent spoiler, and aluminum or chrome accent's to break up the black interior as a standard option!

I wanted to stay NA but I might have to pony($) up for the Subaru model to get the standard things I want.

I hope you aren't talking about FI...because according to SOA Blog (once again verified to be spokespeople for Subaru of America) on NASIOC it's not going to happen (at least not anytime around launch maybe mid cycle refresh...)

http://forums.nasioc.com/forums/show...141912&page=26

SOA Blog: "There is no turbo in the plan for launch. It's not that kind of car"

"There may never be a turbo in the plan... but all we're talking about right now is the launch"

As said, Subaru will not be turbo. Might have to wait a few years after launch for them to offer that (if they ever do). You always have aftermarket.

Another interesting thing that SOA blog said is that the FT-86/FR-S/2000RS/216a is going to be manufactured by Subaru in Subaru plants with Subaru engineering (suspension and engine). The clear/shell car in Geneva was to "The original point of the Geneva model was to show it's our engineering, done by our engineers, under that skin. " Pretty cool.

Which is why I think that dude is full of shit, whether or not he is indeed an SOA spokes person. Yeah, we all know they are heavily raiding the subaru parts bin, but no effin way is Subaru and Subaru engineers "doing all the work". Bullshit.
