LOL never complain about gas prices to a Canadian. We are at around $4.50 a gallon for regular right now. Premium is going to run about $5.10 to $5.30. The sad part is that this is about as cheap as it gets. A couple of years back it was easy to pay well over $6.00 for 91. The way I look at it is that if I need to use premium gas then I want the car to use as little as possible. Not sure that I would ever be worried about a $5.00 difference in a fill up though. At once a week that is a whopping $260 difference over the course of a year. I piss away more than that in coffee. If that difference is a make or break consideration then you need to look closely at your finances.

Cars that need premium gas make power through compression. Compression causes knock. Knock destroys engines. The only way to combat knock is the use a higher octane gas. To make the same power on regular gas then they need to change much of the car.

The list is pretty extensive.
They are far more loaded than even the top trim Twins.
They better be at around $15K more.
They even come with armrests.

Yes she strongly subscribes to the school of false economy. Much like business that insist in single ply toilet paper since it is "cheaper" but fail to understand people just use three times as much to get the job done.

I have found that when it comes to the bathroom ...... NEVER, argue with a woman. DO NOT fart in the bathroom when she is in there. And, on a related note, NEVER pee off the rear deck, if she can see you ......

Oh man, if I didn't fart in the bathroom when she is in there she would think there was something wrong and send me to the doctor.

Lol, no I can easily afford it but remember my other vehicle is a Jeep, worse than trucks or as bad on gas. So, the mpg while fun factor and reliability are a value for me. Mazda says it’s okay to use regular gas on Miata but better torque with premium.

15k?! No. I built new BRZ on site the way I wanted, MT, PP, exhaust and short shifter being options and it was 32 and change, around same as RF at least here in states.15k if you are comparing used FR-S to new RF which makes no sense. Other than top, I’m not seeing RF offering much more goodies. I just love looks personally and it was fun to drive.

I believe like most cars of the type the premium is the recommended fuel with the lower OK to use in a pinch. I would not be filling any car up with regular basis that recommends premium.
The $14K price difference will buy you a shitload of gas anyway.

Agree, but where exactly are you getting 14k price difference? Stripped down used BRZ vs. loaded new RF?
