Light vehicle modifications
None of that list really looks all that unreasonable to me. They are mostly addressing items that go way outside of what the original engineering would have accounted for. Now, the price for the inspection may be a bit steep but the actual idea isn't so bad.

Just think of how many cut spring, tack welded engine mounts, over powered for the chassis, pieces of crap that could take off the road.

And nobody give me that "it's my car so I have the RIGHT to do whatever I want to it" bullshit because everybody else has the right to get home alive when they are driving and piss poorly done mods endanger that right.

Can be picked up by police during "random" stops, every year during registration inspections, or whenever you move states and change registrations (I do this occasionally.) Hence why I would prefer it all to be legal.

Cars that tend to be modded certainly are targeted.

I guess the idea is that only people who really care about their cars are going to go to the effort of modding and then paying for certification on top. But in reality a lot of people just pay the fines, removed the mods for the roadworthy and put them back on afterwards. To me that really seems like a hassle and with the rising use of automatic number plate recognition, I think these people will find themselves being pulled over more and more often so it's probably best to get something that's modplated.

Soon the governments will probably have control of all our electricity, which powers all of our future cars and then they will fine/jail us when we use combustion engines.
There'll be bandit communities living off the grid in forests driving cobbled together gasamatron vehiclemobiles!

That sucks, so the goal to modding is to make it look stock. Keeping the car quiet. A true sleeper lol That seriously sucks. Hell in the US we can put anything on the road. We have a whole show just about street legal race cars (street outlaws) and no certification needed for them to drive full on drag cars on the streets.
