I installed today the STi shift knob Duracon (pic on first page). The knob is very light and it gives a much better and direct shifting feel. The OEM knob was sometimes a bit vague and the issue is now solved!

I changed my battery to a newer one of type AGM (Absorbent Glass Mat). It has a VRLA (Valve-Regulated Lead-Acid) mechanism which means it is sealed. My previous Yuasa battery was a conventional lead acid and it was non-sealed. There isn't much difference on weight, but it will have very limited maintenance and will withstand more vibrations and high cornering forces. It has same specifications(*) with the one of the BRZ RA JDM car. This one is "Made in Japan". The previous ones was "Made in China". I managed to find it on the 1/3rd of its price, so it was a pretty good bargain

Not much news lately. I have a few parts to install and I'll update the journal gradually. Currently, I am working to replace the upper front suspension bolt with an OEM crash bolt. Details of what is the max camber with such bolts here:

I fitted recently Ohlins coilovers and did again alignment, my aftermarket camber bolts after three alignments seem to not hold well thus I am going to fit OEM crash bolts (I had from previous WRX that are same dimension and may be better quality) with new self lock nuts!

I was checking lately the spring rates of the Gazoo 86/BRZ certified TRD suspension. The TRD suspension is the only one allowed to be used in these races.
Front:34.7N/mm, Rear:57.3N/mm I don't want to go into much suspension theory and details, but in practice these rates work very well! Only thing is that they demand more negative front camber than the default factory values. Source: https://www.trdparts.jp/86_zenki/parts_suspension.html |

Great work on the oem+ style build do far. I very much admire the effort to create a refined, quality build. I am also very much a fan of parts with TRD behind them. Unfortunately, I feel into the aftermarket world for a while with my headers and front pipe. I have returned to stock for now and love the smoothness, you can tell the car was designed around this feeling.
How jumpy is that 3 pointed clutch you've installed? I wanted this design from Exedy but was afraid because my car is my work vehicle also. The Exedy stage 1 is in my car now and I love it. Thumbs up on the build

Another fact about the 3 point clutch. It was a factory option for the WRX STI S207 car under the light circuit package.
