Yes, yes it is. Right down town. They shut down the main street for a car show every year. There were over 400 cars at the last one. Everything from model Ts to mine.

I try to explain a little bit, partly because I like to inform people, and partly because I get a real kick outta seeing how confused some people get hearing that my Scion FR-S with Toyota badges is actually a Subaru

-J.B.
I always give the entire explanation. Plus, my license plate is a nod towards Don Adam's Maxwell Smart Agent 86 character, so I have to start by explaining the 86 reference part. The best part is watching everyone's eyes glaze over by the time I've said Toyota, Subaru, and Scion in the same sentence. Their unstated message? "Dude, I was just making conversation. I didn't REALLY want to know anything about your car..."

sigh.

I am pretty much the same in real life and will talk your ear off even if I don't know you but will also shut up and listen if you have something to say.
I have a very clear mental picture of Go with a bunch of people around though!

I for one tend to keep to myself when I'm around people I am not familiar with (but that's just the filter I've developed over the years). If I know the people, I'm loud and never stop talking.

I am usually "not familiar with" people for about 3 minutes.

It'll depend for me, if it's a small group of laid back people, I'll get talkative real fast but if large groups(or contains some stuck up people I'd rathe keep to myself for a while until I've properly gauged them and know what topics to stay away from.

One thing that doesn't change is that I always love arguing/debating on a variety of subjects.

LOL. Three guys who were totally hammered walked up to me when I was parking and one asked if it was a Porsche. His friend told him to look at the badges.

Got th3 car registered and brought it home. Usually get vanity plates but this time refrained. Got home and my wife was relieved. All her coworkers told hetlr vanity plates equal mid life crisis.

Took it to work and my Co worker complimented me on picking out a nice car for my wife. It was nice of her to let you take it.

I just shook my head.

1. Izzat the new Porsche?

2. I am no longer invisible to younger women (I'm 60, so that's a pretty large group).

Every time I think about getting something else, someone compliments the car, so I have to keep it a while longer.

Don't know how I feel about it but I quite regularly get,

"looks like a bat mobile"

Also people don't seem to believe me when I say its a Toyota;
If the do, they let out an almost disappointed 'oh'.
