That's one man's opinion based on inexperience. For manual drivers this is one fun lil basrard. Of course your going to go with auto if you don't know how to drive a manual. You should bought the manual. You'd already be use to it. Murdering twisties dumping clutch and getting side ways fun stuff.

Welcome to the fun side.

Just my opinion, of course. To me, the standard transmission makes you feel more attached the vehicle.

test drive one. I personally think the manual on this car sucks. no feel at all. Needs some work to be nice imo

And this is my first AT car btw (bmw and 2 subies prior)

I'm sure it's been mentioned before, but when you finally get it, make SURE to go to the DIY section and do both the clutch adjustment and clutch spring removal!

I waited a year to do this and Im still kicking myself for not doing it sooner.

Go for the MT. You'll feel more connected with the road and your car.

This past week traded my 13 AT for a 10Series MT. If you want to feel connected to the car and feel like a pro when you master heel and toe, then do the trade. Otherwise, just stay with your AT and swap to 4.88 gears. In the MT you will never be able to shift as fast as the AT.

What did it cost to have the gears changed to 4.88?
