Heres an example i made 10 min ago for a light/mild artificial HDR on a low res photo.
- Yeah, I completely agree about that for HDR.
- And that's a good reason why I still debate over just going with a higher software for P.S.

most people that use PS say that CS3 is really all you need and you really dont need to go higher than that.

For me I use CS5 because i use lots of custom presets and brushes that CS5 handles better than CS3. And content aware fill brush is fucking amazing.

Yep, Content Aware Fill is a godsend. I shot a wedding and the bridezilla asked for some ridiculous edits that would've taken me forever to accomplish, but instead I got it done in mere minutes thanks to the Content Aware Fill.

Hardly. I still have a lot to learn myself, and there are a lot of things I'm not very good at.

Try upgrading Lightroom to 3.5.

A lot of camera support has been added since the original 3.0 release.

Pentax shooter here with a good mix of zooms/primes. I'd consider myself more a 'guy-with-camera' than an actual photographer though. Mainly been shooting fashion runway so far, but would like to do some portrait/studio work at some point. Hard to find someone to put in front of the camera.

Post processing is hell for me. I think 80% of my photos sit on my computer waiting to be edited. Starting to get the hang of lightroom, but still have no clue with photoshop.
