I'm not kidding at all :/.

All the way from the bottom of the passenger doorway sill to the top where the window meets the frame, then a bit of the roof, and along the top passenger side of the windshield.

It was pretty ridiculous. White splotches all along that area.

No bueno. Sounds like your car needs a few coats of wax pronto.

Alright you detailing experts, any tips on getting bugs off of clear bra? No amount of quick detailer is taking this off. I'm about ready to bust out the googone and go to town on it with a sponge. Wax OK to use after cleaning it off to make cleaning it later easier?

Washed, detailed, and waxed the car today! I don't think I did a perfect job and may have missed some spots, but not bad for a very first time especially using the right stuff and right way.

Took me 3 hours, lol.

Also thanks @Clipdat for giving me some extra stuff to use

Oh, didn't realize that! I've used this before, but not on clear bra.

Might try contacting them and asking, I don't see anything in the product description about using it on clear bra.

General rule of thumb is you should wash, seal, and wax every season (Every 3 months). With good seal and wax you can get crap off easier and only damage/remove the wax instead of potentially causing harm to the clear coat.

Essentially you're always building up a nice layer of wax when you wash/clean/maintain it between seal and wax.

and
3ish hours sounds right.

Man, clear bra is hard, because there's so crappy ones and great ones. I only have the OEM trunk bra. Can I ask what QD? I use ONR at the ratio recommended and let it soak for 10 mins, for tougher jobs, I use Chemical Guys Eco-Smart. Only suggestion for I have for bug crap, I try to be proactive and clean it ASAP.

I have no experience with clear bras, but I'd imagine a clay bar would work.

I have had bugs on my clear bra (front lip) and they came right off for me. Just had a microfiber cloth with some soapy water and wiped it off. I didn't even wax the clear bra. Might be different based on type/manufacturer of the clear bra I'm assuming.

Today I drove SF to SJ and decided to detour on 1 to half moon bay, and then 92 to 280. Tons of nice and interesting cars on the highway going to some kind of event in HMB. I also got stuck between Pacifica and HMB behind a Camry from Utah that was always going ten under the limit and wouldn't pull to the side of the road to let me and the old corvette stingray behind me pass :| so frustrating!

But it was super fun to go on some real curvy roads for the first time! Can't wait to do more with this car!
