The data base is apparently wrong since I have looked at two and drove one used F with the MT. A new F will be what I go to as my retirement car in about 8 years (if they still make them and they haven't been ruined)

Funny enough, I've bought 4 MKIV Supras from Mid-50s Golfing Dentists. I personally think that they'll be buying the MKV too.

The entirety of 2015 showed about a dozen sales. You lucky old folk; us kids have to work till 67..

My head is pounding but I remember a 3-4 month wait was what the guy said. If they accept a refundable deposit on a bare bone one, might actually be doing someone a favor if I dishonorably pull out. I'm not even sure if I've dishonored before. Probably a person can go to hell if they do it 3 times in a lifetime.

There are times when a vague memory helps.

The S model has worthy standard content upgrades for the price, IMO. One option is a carbon/ceramic brake package with torque vectoring diff for $1,450, a real deal for an almost 3,500 lb. car capable of over 170 mph.

It could become a steal on the used market after 3-4 years with another year of warranty remaining, except I'm not sure if the mythical golfing dentists will be buying since it appears that a set of clubs won't fit in the small storage area.

I guess you could search for 55-year-old tennis players instead.

To me, that's better than the concept, but I like the other rendering in the above link better....

The ceramic brake option was listed at an eye-watering $13,000. I think it might be worth it as the V6 Mustang appears to have a straight line edge but those platter-size disks look like after a few laps could make up the distance.

Can't compare a Jaguar to a Mustang but I've always wanted a car that clears 5 seconds to 60 as maybe it is just me; those cars look blurry from behind under WOT. On a side note, the 86 is only a bit better on gas compared to the F-Coupe.

Golf clubs should fit. An NSX fits a set of clubs.

Would like to see that smash into a concrete wall or drift off the side of steep cliff resulting in a big ball of fire.

True. When they turn 65, they upgrade to a 911 doing 50 in the #1 lane.

Don't dig that render at all. Looks horrible. Doesn't work on the old Camaro and won't work here.

I mixed the S model Super Performance and R model Carbon/Ceramic options.

It's true, the sub-5 cars get small quickly from behind, but the sound usually gets bigger and better.

At this point in my life, being the pace car driver might be more realistic.

I still make it a habit when I pull off the side of the road to check my phone and text; still keep my device below chest level.

But still, the S and R is still on my mind especially if things go well financially this year. Grew up listening to the Spice Girls and watching a few soccer teams every once in a while so it might be a nice symbolic piece in the only parking stall I have.

It be neat to see the reaction of the Beckham's if a Jaguar or Rover brushed against a concrete wall or skidded along the edge of the steep cliff.
One time a fan threw a beer can at Mr. Beckham a few blocks from where I lived. He looked visibly upset.

Having lived in England for awhile and being a former Jag owner, I have a soft spot for them, too. Enough time has passed for me to forget how often and usually catastrophically they broke. Hopefully, Tata has improved QC. Initial quality reports are positive and the warranty is generous so it could be worth a fling.

I also like the idea of the exclusivity potentially propping up residual value. It might be one of those rare cars worth lease/buyback consideration.
