They have dropped. At least for the currently supported ROM families.

bad fuel or something ? . OFT stage 1 map is for 91 (AKI) fuel.
Nope. I just found the "sweet spot" where the engine consistently pulls back the IAM with this rom on my car. I just record it in some logs to try to pinpoint where and when this happens so adjustments can be made. Just so happens there is a peak on the base timing map where the IAM gets knocked back.

I'm back on E85 now have made some changes to the 1.42b E85 rom to fine tune it to my car and local E85 pump.

I'm keen on playing with the exhaust cam timing next as it seem to have a very big effect on the torque dip as reflected in the MAF voltage curve.

Quick question for ya tho shiv -

I broke this rivet on my stock airbox. The high lighted box is basically destroyed

I'm planning to just cover it up, but should I have any reason to believe the lack of that extra box there would drastically change readings?

I believe the box you are referring to is just a sound resonator to reduce intake noise.

The Toyota TRD intake air box is a similar design but does not have this resonator so it is unlikely to be a problem. However the loss of the mounting bracket may be a problem if the air box can move around. The clearance between the drive belt and the intake tube after the filter box is faily tight .

Any word on what FI kits you will support and when they will be released. I know you mentioned this before but I wanted to know if anything has changed.

I've been trying to follow all the different threads, but hot damn there are a lot for the OFT. Mine arrives tomorrow and I'll be using the Stage 1 map for a while just to start playing around with it.

There are now two stations with E85 relatively close to me, so I'm interested in giving that a shot as well. I already downloaded the maps .zip file and am wondering about the three Stage 2 maps. Two are for E85 (UL and UEL) and one is just "Stage 2". So...

- What is considered "Stage 2" if there is nothing to denote header type in the file name?
- Does that just mean it's good for 91-93 octane fuel with eithe a UL or UEL header?
- I thought I read somewhere that Shiv was about to fill up a relatively stock car with E85 to make Stage 1 E85 maps. What kind of timetable should we be expecting for this?

I don't have a header yet, just looking for clarification as I do plan to purchase header and over/front pipes within a few months, depending on how badly I get bled for taxes. No tune-related mods so far other than a Perrin drop-in filter.

Stage 2 means catless header. Stage 1 and Stage 2 both work with various other exhaust mods.

Stage 1 e85 means running the EL Stage 2 e85 map like I am on my stock car. The safety net of ethanol and the learning of the computer makes this safe and powerful.

Not yet. It's only compatible with A00 and A01 ROM types right now. First, we have to implement a new feature that will allow those with old 700 and 900 ROM type to update to A01. Working on that as I type

Any reason you aren't going b01? Isn't it the newest?

Ok, just making sure the Stage 2 (non-E85) was for both header types.

And thanks, I think I saw your thread or someone else's regarding Stage 2 E85, but I did not notice that it was used on a stock-manifold car. It's very comforting to see that this is not an issue.

Haven't really gotten around to testing it fully. Some of our datalogging channels are compatible with the newest ROM. So updating everything to b01 isn't feasible until we updating to the new datalogging setup which is cooling reasonably soon.
