wheher it's 18 or 17 doesn't really matter for fitment reference.

the pic is just for illustration purpose. 8+45 is around 9mm further outward than 7.5+48.

the STI concept has 18x7.5+48. 7.5+48 is only 3mm weaker (inward) than 8+45 which is pretty close for illustration purpose.
gotcha, i'll go ahead and get them... hopefully the stock tires won't look that hideous on there @_@

Cool little twist on a classic

My favorite volks might still be the RE30 though

enkei pf01- 17x8 +45 [5x100]
I think these should fit up front and will definitely fit in the rear. The 17x8 +45 PF01 would have 6mm more clearance to the fender lip and would be 6mm closer to the strut when compared to Greddy's FR-S with 19x8.5 ET45 front wheels with 225 tires (and 19x9.5 ET35 rear with 245 tires). The pictures of the wheel-to-suspension clearance on the Greddy FR-S showed quite a bit more than 6mm of inner clearance that would be needed to fit those wheels.

dont forget that it was running 5x100 to 5x114.3 hub adapters. Those are likely 15-25mm thick.

are you planning on lowering it at all?

If you are i highly suggest lowering FIRST before buying any wheels. Wheels that look slightly more aggressive than stock will start to look very conservative once dropped. By conservative i mean having a "tucked" look.

It's the nature of the suspension on this car, although not unique to it.

Yea, that's significant. I'd lower THEN get wheels, unless you wait long enough. Let other people spend their money and be the guinea pigs to figure out optimal fitments lol

That way you'll know Exactly what to expect the fitment to look like when it's dropped 2 inches, has 2 degrees of camber front and back and wears 18x8.5/9.5 +45ET . Just an example of course.

I don't know how picky you are about the "look" of the fitment. If you don't care about how "flush" you are, then it's probably safe to just buy some 8" wide +45's and call it a day. It'll at least it'll poke 16mm more than stock
