Ancient humans were a scared and confused lot. They often explained stuff they couldn't understand with mythology or legends. Normal animals were turned into gods or monsters because they just didn't get it. Modern science has explained so much that mythology isn't as relevant now as it was back then.


Just imagine time traveling and showing a roman soldier your iPhone. He'd stab your ass and call you a wizard.
