Got a call from the dealer saying the car's on a truck and en route. Should be picking up Monday!

I occasionally check cars.com to see if there are any BRZs similar to what I ordered anywhere within easy driving distance. This morning I saw one that matched my exact specs within 10 miles of me!

Turns out it was my dealer. I called and now have a VIN. Car arrives next week. I ordered 6/16.

finally being allocated a vin from my dealer today, it's in the boat heading to the port in RI, should be here at end of this month or early next....

you really need to push them to work on it (SOA, SNE, and/or ur dealership). I've seen two to three exact vehicles that matched my order in the past month of so that got distributed to other dealers un-allocated... obviously I was pissed, as I re-ordered on 6/12, and it has been a long wait, so I called up SOA and they gave me another $500 off... not bad.

some quick questions, how you check on other dealers for allocation? and how you get them to give u $500 off? did you just complain over n over?

This. Thinking of calling back and trying to get that guy I talked to his morning and yesterday. Try to push them for discounts and to adjust the allocations for me. 11 months for a Subaru is ridiculous. I'm curious how you managed to swing that.

Spent sometime calling some dealers in the NJ, VA, PA area. If you add on the list now in Mid Sept it looks like its a Jan/Feb delivery date.

got another update on my ETA, moved back by another 2 days.

ETA was originally 9/17, then moved to 9/19, now 9/21...

Next week will be the longest week ever.

That's because apple took over the shipping companies for delivery of the iPhone 5. I hope to get my car by November as I was told.

Could be later. I'm an April order and I got a firm date of March today.

i explained the situation and expressed my dissatisfaction, then the guy told me as a one time thing usually reserved for repeat buyers, he gave me this loyalty rebate directly from SOA once I finally get the car.

Yeah true. At least for my region, i believe Jan/feb is true, because this is what 6-7 dealers are saying. They all pretty much say orders for this year are filled and anyone trying to get it now would wait until next year.

Hey guys! Newly registered lurker here. I ordered my DGM Limited manual on Aug. 27th and I don't seem to have moved beyond "wait list" yet. I ordered from Gerald Subaru in North Aurora, IL and they claimed I was their fourth and last allotted BRZ for the year.

In my impatience I just did a Cars.com search and found a DGM Limited manual only 80 miles away and it makes me wonder WTF is up with allocation... I can't imagine why that couldn't have been directed toward my order and tomorrow I'll be calling both dealerships to see if I can either get that car sent down here or cancel my order at Gerald and go get the new one.

What do you all think? Any advice on what I might do or how I might pressure my dealership? I know it's only been three weeks for me, but with the horror stories on here I'm nervous to trust their "about 8 weeks" estimate, especially when nearby dealerships are getting my identical model (albeit without my shiny chrome accent).
