My way is easier, quicker and cheaper ;P

Also I've been making these "kits" since before Evos made it to the US. Circa 1999 actually. Many revisions later, this is the best IMO.

Go to the parts store and buy an appropriately sized oil filter wrench (you will be taking off your air filter/pipe and clamping this ONTO the turbo inlet). It looks like this:

Then buy a valve stem:

Pull the valve stem through the square 1/2 inch drive hole on the oil filter wrench so that the valve sticks out from where you will be clamping it. Make sure you pull it all the way through so it seals.

Then with an accurate pressure gauge, fill up your intake system with no more than 10 psi, this is enough to expose a leak.

Gurgling sounds are normal, hissing is not. Fix whatever hisses and re-install your intake.
This works as I have been doing it for years

My woman said the same thing, she is from Austrailia. When she came to visit last year she got sick of our winter in less than 2 months. she stayed from september to january lol.

It is easier to get warmer than it is to get cooler, but there are some serious pro's and cons to both our weather.

Anyone have any ideas as to why my car could only be boosting to 3.5 psi on the basemap? Boost pressure test was done...no leaks. Vacuum test was done...no leaks. Standard 7.5 psi spring in the wastegate. I just can't figure it out. Also came home tonight, after going in the house for a while I remembered I left my phone in the car, came out and there was a good puddle of oil on the ground. Seems to be coming from the oil cooler lines. Could have been leaking like that the whole night I was driving I checked the oil yesterday and it was at full level and now its not even registering on the dip-stick

Stock MAP sensor and tune using speed density?

Some kind of weird limiter or limp mode?

Before driving it
Check your oil lines and all.

Your ECU might be on limp mode

I love boost!!!!!!

One step at a time. Find the oil leak, thats more deadly than low boost.

I also thought I had the 7.5 psi spring in my WG when I first installed the kit, but it was closer to 4psi. Do you have a method of boost control? if you try turning the fun knob up a little, and the gauge reads the same 3.5, you can for sure rule out the spring.

open dump or recirc? If you can hear the WG opening at 3.5psi, you can also for sure point fingers at the wastegate spring.

Wastegate is recirculating to its hard to pin point when it opens. Dropping the car off at Forman Performance today to see if we can figure it out and also get these lines checked out again.

On the basemap still. Wouldnt a limp mode not allow me to go past a certain RPM or 40 MPH or something like that?

Are the hoses under the intake manifold clamped?
