If I had stupid money to throw at a house, I'd want something like the house Dwayne Johnson has up for sale about 3 miles from where I live now.

Except I would want it on a lake somewhere.

This really raises the question of exactly who was staring at an old oil pressure barometer in the middle of the Sunda Strait at that precise moment in 1883.

In fact I am not convinced there was even a city with a full time barometer monitoring technician within 100 miles of there in 1883!

That's what the staff is for....oh staff....STAFFFFFF!

Now that I think about it, maybe that's why he's listed it for 1.4M less than he paid for it two years ago.

I saw that too, asking for less than what he got it for, he must really want to get rid of it. Considering the state of the housing market.

Are you going to make me rewatch the video? I was having a "few" beers that night and don't completely remember. I believe it was Batavia(modern Jakarta, Indonesia) a costal port town where the reading was taken.

We had a telegraph cable across the Atlantic 20 years before that. I could believe a barometer was being monitored at a port town at that era.

But still staring at a barometer...

My first job at 15 was picking rocks out of a disk'd hay field. I think I would have rather stared at a barometer.

At 15? I was half that when I was doing it. Still would prefer it from staring at a barometer.

It was a great question! I've seen lots of dead axles with sub-frame-mounted torsion bars but my search for new car stuff ends at this forum.
