Decided & pull the trigger on trading my Highlander for Solterra. Yes, I know about the slow charging & not the best emiles. I’m not planning on using that car for long drive. I’ll prob be using my wife’s WRX for that. It’ll be mostly city drive, dropping the child off & going to work. I should be getting it this weekend or next week.

Random Thoughts - Part III The Search for Spark (No Politics)
Hm… I was thinking of using the aftermarket wheels (20x8.5+20) I bought for HL on Solterra. From the searching their forum, Solterra stock wheel specs are 20x7.5+40.
Having an extra 1” of width, I’m not too worry, but extra 20mm offset might be too aggressive? Well I guess I’ll do the measurement when I get it. Coming from 86/BRZ w countless mod options to HL & Solterra, which got ZERO mod option is rough Before thinking about modding it, I should look into electrician install 240v outlet in my garage. |

There was a near riot on a Cadillac forum for the LYRIQ when the top trim only had the option for 22" wheels. So much so Cadillac (whose media folks are known to monitor the forum) added a backend delete for 22" wheels to get 20" wheels and a $1,000 credit.

Also when I was comparing HL & Sol specs, both have exact same wheelbase, but Sol is 10” shorter. Plus 85lbs heavier. Battery def heavier than gas tank lol |

I forget, do they included full fuel in ICE weight? Still, that's pretty close on the weight even with the loss of length. Gas is 6lb/gallon so you fill up the tank it is pretty much a wash if it isn't included.

turns out manufacturer's curb weight include all the fluids required to drive off, including a full fuel tank.
