Here's a random thought I had today...

We use soap to clean ourselves... but can soap get dirty? If so then are we just dirtying ourselves?

Because IDGAF, I am going to answer your question. No, it can't. A bar of soap can look dirty, but thats just whats on the surface. A good scrub of the surface of the soap will remove any dirt.

Look up how soap works, and then you will see that it can't actually get dirty.

We have discussed sleeping arrangements plenty and it's mutually agreed that she's more than happy to sleep in the same bed as me. As far as I can tell, she doesn't see anything wrong with it at all (though I doubt it'll be an open discussion with her fiancé/husband). I know I can behave because they're a done deal. I have no swaying power whatsoever, so this is completely innocent, just two adults sharing a bed. This is sleeping together that is literally just sleeping together, and nothing else.


My question for you fine, upstanding people is this, is that right? Or is it still cheating on some level? Am I a bad person for suggesting, offering, encouraging, and asking for it? If she's comfortable, does that make it any better or worse?




tl;dr: Is it okay to sleep with another man's wife if literally all you're doing is sleeping? No sex, nothing lewd.

What's wrong with her husband's bed that she wants to sleep in yours?

Regardless of the reason for her not staying with her husband/fiance?? I don't think it will give you any type of closure just to have her in your bed for a while. If anything it will probably only lead to you feeling like you "had it and lost it."

IMHO I think it only opens the door for bad situations and will most likely not lead to any outcome you are looking for

EDIT from more info: Gentleman it up and take the couch while she is there especially if it is just a weekend thing. It basically gives you the "best" outcome in each situation. If she comes to you on the couch then you know that she might do the same with others if you were dating or in a relationship with her. If she doesn't sleep with you then you got to see a good friend for a weekend and that is where you kind of have to leave it without trying to ruin her current relationship.

In that case, to be fair to your question, if the hubby doesn't mind there is nothing wrong on the surface in-and-of-itself. However, since you obviously have the hots for her on your end, that's probably why you feel guilty. Which makes it a tough situation for you. If she comes on to you, you probably can't resist, and if she doesn't you will be disappointed like @Tectoniic said. So there is no winning really unless you truly just want to be friends or you hope she does bang you don't give AF about the dude. At least you'll know better than to marry her in that case.

Sleeping is sleeping and sex is sex. They do not need to be mutually inclusive. Nobody ever had to sleep in the same bed as some dude? Was that sex or just the needed sleeping arrangement?
Now...being in the same bed can be tempting and one innocent hand drape can be misconstrued but sleeping is just that.
