Well... since the car will debut in a couple of days... I though: "what the hell, I'll introduce myself and then the site even might not be used that much" ...
But hey, Im a newbie, I've been a member for a week or two, and I love cars. So here it is. I have no fingernails left. They are all gone while waiting for this FT-86/FR-S small beast. Wish you all the best ... |

Hi everyone,
I've been visiting the forum for a while now and finally decided to register. I've very excited to see what the FR-S/FT-86/BRZ will be capable of, have been interested since the original ft-86 concept came out back in '09. |

I think I recently figured out that I have to have one, so here I am registering and introducing myself. I haven't felt the 'pull' toward a new vehicle like this since 2002 when I had to have the Holden Monaro, whatever they called it when they brought it over.
...They brought it over in 2004 as the Pontiac GTO. I bought an '04 in '04 and now have a highly-modified 2005. It's run a best of 11.033@125.61 in 8500' DA. I'm as much in love with this car now as I was a decade ago when I watched the Aussie 'Game Over' commercial online. But now I'm eyeballing the Toyobaru and I feel like I absolutely have to have one of them. I've been a longtime fan of Toyotas, having owned a few Corollas as commuters over the years and a '96 4Runner SR5 since the fall of '99. The concept for the FT-86 was fascinating to me from the get-go. I can't wait to check out the production model in person. Thanks for the space.

hey everyone just wanted to introduce myself and say hello to you all.
I'm sure we are all excited for the release of this beautiful car, kinda sucks about the 1000 per year but hopefully that will change. I'm Carlos and i currently drive a 2000 Toyota Celica GT-S that was turbo charged, it has been parted out now and saving up to buy this next great project! |

New Member here..First off I'd like to applaud Toyota and Subaru for bringing back the sports coupe at an affordable range. I grew up in a time when there was the RX-7, Supra, Celica, MR2, 300ZX, 240SX, etc. So I'm glad to see someone bring it back.
I currently have a E46 M3 and want to replace it with something new. I don't like anything new (that's affordable) but really like what I'm seeing out of the FT-86/FR-S. Hope to see this car arrive in style. For those who are interested here are the cars I've owned over the years. Honda CRX Si - w/B16A Mazda RX-7 Turbo II - 10th Anniversary Honda Prelude Si - 4WS Model Mazda RX-7 Turbo II Maza RX-7 - 3rd Gen Nissan Sentra SE-R Spec-V Mazda RX-8 Porsche 911 - (996) Carrera 4 Honda Prelude - Last year made Acura Integra Turbo - Track car to beat up on Acura TSX BMW M3 (E46) - Laguna Seca Blue |

Seems I'm here posting for the same reason a lot of others are, but anyway. I've been following the development closely for a couple of years now, and the excitement of finally seeing a production version has compelled me to officially register.
![]() I've already committed myself to buying this car when it arrives stateside, provided it's within budget but that's a discusion for another thread. I'll be switching over from my 2011 WRX. Now I know what you're thinking (why give up the WRX), but the 86/BR-Z is a car that feels it was built exactly for me: someone who values driving feel over driving numbers. And I'm growing tired of all the HP freaks that seem to be into Subarus. Anyway, this is getting long. I'll leave it at that. So in conclusion: Hello from Hawaii! |

After months of lurking around, I finally decided to join. I have been anticipating this car for years and now its only a few days until its official unveiling. And I want to say thank you to Leaky for making this past weekend exciting. (I just hope you have been fed misinformation

Sup. I been stalking the site for news. I come from legacygt.com. Looking at getting the fr-s over the brz. I had two ae86. one with a blacktop 20v. Amazingly fun cars. Can't wait to pick up a used one. The whole 1000 a year thing may put a damper on that though.
