As a driver I never carried a bayonet. Back then the service rifle was still the FN and that was way too bulky for a vehicle.


We carried these (I shit you not we still used these into the early 80s) and although you could put a FNC1 bayonet on it we were never issued one since it was silly.

Funny side/random story, that scene was originally going to be more involved, with whips, more sword fighting, etc, but Harrison Ford was apparently sick for one reason or another, so they decided to make it easy on Ford and just shoot him.

Ya, ford speaks to it on the commentary for the DVD. He was sick and during one of the test shots he just pulls the gun. Director liked it so much they ran with it.

I did a lot of driving before I was thrown into a leadership position about 2 years ago. For exercises, I always did my best to only draw a pistol claiming "The boat man stays with the boat" Sometimes the RQ bought it, most of the time they didn't.

I miss the days of not having responsibility for anything but making sure the truck could still run and making coffee whenever the det commander asked.

mine is always falling out of the pocket of my gym shorts and getting stuck in between the console and seat. fat hands can't grab it so I have to get one of those dinosaur heads on a stick.

When you get back home, I suggest you double check the pair of pants you were wearing AND check the floor of the closet, where the pants were hanging.

If you have a debit card, I'd suggest you call and freeze that account NOW.

I transferred the money to a savings account linked online but not to that card.

And Im wearing the same pair of jeans lol. But i get what your saying. am going to go through my steos much slower when Im not in a rush or freaking out now that I kind of accepted its gone

I think im more upset is that my GF got it for me and it was an expensive wallet that I liked but didnt know how much it cost when she got it.

Funny story though, we're kind of in the same boat. I left my credit card at the restaurant I went to last night. Good thing they found it and are keeping it there for me so I can pick it up after work..
