I've always felt it was better not to have one than to have one. Also I do speed, but not like I did when I was in my teens and early 20s.

I remember talking to a cop about one in PA, where they are legal. The way he explained it was that while they are legal to have, when he pulls someone over there's always a chance, depending upon how the driver acts and if all paperwork is in order, that they'll have the speed brought down or let off with a warning. If he can see a radar detector in the car, that's not going to happen.

I got pulled over a few days ago. I had not been pulled over since 2008 in my Fleetwood Brougham de'Elegance... (that's a story for another time...)

Anyway, I got pulled over by a sheriff. I graduated from a Military school where I was taught to respect the uniform and what it stands for.

I got off with a warning. Probably because I was in my old truck, had not had a ticket in a long time, and was respectful.

Be safe out there!

I have never been pulled over in my FR-S.

My old "Lac"...
Nice card board... "Check out the oil my Cadillac spills"

I speed everywhere. All the time.
I have been pulled over at least 50 times over the years. In all those times I received one ticket and the cop apologized for giving it to me because she didn't want to but her boss was watching and she had to. The fact that she never registered the ticket so it was never valid proved to me her apology was sincere! I attribute my lack of perfectly valid tickets to exactly as you just said.

I've been pulled over for speeding 5 times in my life, and ticked for 3 of those. 4 of them were in my 20s.

Good job!

I wish I could say the same. I think I got issued an entire ticket book in my 20s.
