I'd be happy to pitch $10 for some brake pad and tire funds. Just need to get a group together to do it.

I have a Feb13 build date FRS.

I can only hope I have the updated ECU calibration. Been to one track day so far at SOW and the temps were 100+ that day. Completely stock other than 0w30 Mobil1.

Tracked at about 3k miles. Almost 7k on the clock now. No cel or any knock noticed ever. But then again, I don't have logs or anything. Car runs fine other than the occasional idle dip when at a red light.

At the track I bounced the limiter a few times when I wasn't paying attention. When I cared I would shift up right before redline and "roll" on the throttle rather than jam on it as fast as I could. That doesn't mean I didn't do so either.

Fastest lap of the day I could muster out was a 1:36.4xx of the the 3rd session when there was less traffic, but by then the tires pretty crappy. Got a black flag for drifting too much. lol. Also my first time on a track ever.

Would love to go to the night event this weekend, but I will be in Vegas instead.

The good news is we bullshitted for a little bit and I was reassured that if something where to happen to my engine that it would be covered. (He knows what I do with it)

I was going to visit nearby dealer next weekend to check Calibration and have updated it but i guess i shouldnt go since it's not available. i received my BRZ on mid-January 13 so i might have older cal.

Just a thought -- since the drivetrain bits between the FRS and BRZ are the same, would it be possible at all to take the BRZ over to a Toyota/Scion dealership, and have them flash the ECU to the latest firmware?

I'm not sure how advisable that would be in relation to the factory warranty, but hey... It should get the ECU firmware updated, right?

I can see the message on the Toyota garage's computer screen:

GET THAT IMPOSTER OUT OF MY GARAGE!

At the track right now. Did one session, a little past half-way through I got the check engine light I kept going for about 4 or 5 laps, then pulled into pits. Just figured I'd vent to people who don't scratch their heads when new cars decide to suck.

FYI the ecu logs how long you drive around for with the cel on.

It is what it is. If I was driving around out of town and it happened the same would apply.

Don't have an OBD2 scanner. The DTC's should be stored. I'll check later.

Car runs fine. I want to point out that I ran this same track just as hard and just as many sessions this past April. It was freezing outside (upper 30's, low 40's) I had no issues during that event. Nor the event at another local track about a month later.

The only time I've experienced this CEL is during 85+ degree days.
I know its the misfire CEL I've scanned before, its happening the same way every time.
I will verify the code early this week.
