Just ordered some 25mm spacers for my stockies since I can't afford new wheels yet... Id like to stay with a square setup, but i probably will go with 20mm for the fronts... well see

suggestions would be appreciated
Can't you just get BBS center caps that look the same but say BBS in the center?

Compared acceleration with a blue 2-door Honda hatchback, not sure which one, mid-00's. Neck-and-neck til we hit a gradual curve which I flied through at about 80 and left him in the dust. Slowed down at about 110 and waited for him to pull up. Both of us rolled down windows, he said he loved my car and just had to see what it could do. I said haha yeah it's pretty good, thanks. Then we went our separate ways. Nothing like a little friendly competition

Thanks for the help on removing the engine cover with painting the cover it makes the engine bay pop. I am going to paint the little flywheel covers like you did with yours also. Then buy the JDM password side braces so I got the red theme going on

Metalcast looks great now, but it WILL fade. Give it about 7-8 months.

Wetsanding it off my wrx tails to redo them was a major PITA. If you go VHT and the correct lacquer clearcoat.. and put in the wetsanding/polishing time they'll look better and last much longer. You cannot skip the wetsanding/polishing step or they'll get dull. Its just nature of the beast using Lacquer.

Or, just get a hold of a local bodyshop and have them shot with the correct base/clear urethane that wont fade at all and last as long as the paint finish on the car. Cost depends on the shop, most can mix a candy red right in house so you get the exact color tone you want too.

The Metalcast will fade even with a clear over it? I do have a can of SprayMax 2 part urethane clear to go over it.

Yep, I cleared mine and they still faded.

When first done

aprox 1 year later

Metalcast isn't UV resistant.. neither are most clearcoats that will work with it. VHT is UV resistant but needs polishing.. and still wont hold up as well as a proper auto grade base/clear job will.

Damn it, I wish I had known that before I bought everything. The first time I did it I just used VHT, laid it on thick, then wet sanded and polished the VHT(no clear) I really wouldn't want to sand a thin layer of VHT as I'm really trying to not sand on the tail light itself... sigh.

Weather Tech floor mats and Scion trunk mat installed today. Sound tubes should be here tomorrow and Perrin fatty shift knob is on the way. Nameless axle-back ordered a few minutes ago.
