Boost is controlled with your foot. You wouldn't be stranded... just have to drive slow and stay out of boost. Alternatively, have your non-cooled program selectable in EcuTec.

X2 most of the heat comes from boosted air. If youre not boosting youll be fine without water

It's just not something I want to risk right now. My coupler blowing off the charge pipe stranded me for 30 minutes because the car stalled from running that rich and I had to wait for engine bay temps to SLIGHTLY drop so I could finangle the coupler into place. Luckily I was on my way to a shop anyway.

Forced induction is just mental masturbation for me; I can't afford a non-warranty replacement of critical/expensive components.

Don't mental masturbate too much, or it will mentally fall off.

Anyone know if it'll be possible to have a stage 1 with the intercooler? I only want to run about 5psi anyway.

If they're setting up the Stages by heat output of the supercharger, Stage 1 will run less boost, and thus less heat. Stage 2 would run more boost, thus more heat, which would be counteracted by the Laminova.

How much boost were you running? Bead rolled pipe with a properly sized silicone coupler and T clamps properly tightened? With those three things and a mere 10 psi, I don't think anyone going the turbo route needs to worry about blowing off any couplers.

X2. Ive blown hoses off but it wasnt bead rolled and im pushing 22psi. Your pipe must not have been installed properly.

14 psi. I didn't tighten it well enough the night before. Purely my fault, but a PITA nonetheless.

The Laminova is a restrictive intercooler. It might drop your PSI by 1psi or so.

Then you have to consider the lost power from heat soak/high boost pressure vs. cool air/low boost pressure. Pros/Cons both way. It is certainly possible to create more power at lower boost pressure though. It all depends on the conditions

5lbs with no intercooler on the street should be fine. Your IATs shouldn't really go up further than 130-160F (which is rather high but not crazy high). It's when you're on the track that this kit might reach dangerous levels where an intercooler is needed.

A great alternative to cool for the twin screw is to place meth/water mist sprayers/injectors after the supercharger and directly into the pressured air. No one here has mentioned this here I don't think. There are a lot of room in the intake runners which is a plus for this kit.

There was a frs at SEMA running nitrous and it used the intake runners by just drilling into them to place the injectors, so this is a totally feasible idea and one I might look at, concourse using meth/water like mentioned not nitrous lol
