You get use to it, if you are starting to get tired eyes its worth the cost (how ever you can get them from amazon or woot for cheaper)

@serialk11r

Playing around with airflow consumption at power peak for a bunch of motors. Maybe a better evaluation than hp/L?

New Vette LT1: 0.685hp/cfm
MR-S/'rola 1ZZ: 0.689
Celica GT-S 2ZZ: 0.745
458 Italia 4.5L V8: 0.786
Twins FA20: 0.809

Wait, what is this? I don't understand what you're calculating.

Horsepower per ingested air at peak power.

Power divided by Displacement times rpm (divided by 2 because 4 stroke).

So instead of hp/static displacement, it's hp/gross airflow, based on rpm at hp peak. (I converted to cubic feet per minute.)

Oh, that's specific torque lol. "gross airflow" is wrong because the engine doesn't suck in its full displacement necessarily. Power is torque * engine speed, so power/ (engine speed * displacement)=torque/displacement = specific torque.

Yea, so much for the LT1 "breathing well at its power peak" :P

So basically how well air is translated to power, in layman's terms.
