Our IT admin doesn't know how to retrieve, distribute, or run the installer for our primary tool. Yet us users are the ones that can't have admin permissions.

UPS... "you owe on this shipment $124.96".
Duties/Taxes owed to government: $33.87
UPS's Fee for paying them on your behalf: $91.09 (including GST).

Immediately send off an email to their brokering email informing them I will pay the duties myself, and requesting the relevant documentation from them (which they're legally obligated to provide in a timely manner. Timely.). Weekend passes, *crickets*. Call Monday "we'll have that sent to you within 24h". *crickets*. Call today "we'll have that sent to you within 24h".

Shipment is scheduled for delivery tomorrow and there's no way in the world I'm giving them $91.09 to do what is 30 seconds of paperwork. This will be fun when they try to collect the duties owed upon delivery and act like they don't know what I'm talking about.

A few good things about it is how roomy it is, taking into account that it is considered smaller than a Corolla.

It can sit four adults extremely comfortably. It is very quiet on the road, it has analog controls, and the turning radius is impressive.

Acceleration is meh, struggles a bit from 0-60 but once it goes, you can hit 85+MPH and you won't realize it.

It handles somewhat similar to a Mazda 3 AWD, it is very agile, just understeers a bit due to FWD.

The wife loves it, so we traded cars until the BRZ is all set. She likes it so much that she's considering trading the Mazda for a Kia, the only downside is the FWD.

Overall pretty impressed with the quality Hyundai and Kia have achieved. I remember being very impressed the first time I drove a 2017 Elantra, I liked that one a lot more than a Corolla or Jetta when I was on the car rental business.
just be warned, the motor is an interference motor with a timing belt that MUST be changed at 60k miles. if buying used, lacking a receipt, don't take any word for it, no receipt, it must be changed.

i warned a friend of mine about that. he got to 65k. then it blew up, and left him stranded.

and if you use the dealer network at all, they're all horrific. i don't have a problem with kia as vehicles, but i avoid their dealers like the plague.

try doing old drum brakes.

if you drop the drum, the resulting dust cloud will be making you blow everything off!

USPS wasn't an option? So much easier to deal with unless it is too large an item.

*shudders*

The last drum brake job I did was an old dump trailer that probably hadn't been serviced in 20+ years. Wheel bearings were shot, electric brake solenoids were shot, everything was seized. Was a nightmare.
