My hours got cut and now I make shit. I'm trying to find a 3rd job but don't know what would be good.... Leaning towards bartending haha well see what happens. I average 2 days off per month but that doesn't bother me, I consider only working 1 job a day off Hehe |

Nope. Trying to figure it out myself.
I used to work 7 8h shifts a week. Mon-Fri Days, then Fri and Sat graveyards. It's not a solution since both jobs were basically maxed out. People don't become successful by working harder. However successful people do usually work way harder. But they are not the same thing. Make sense?

I want to major in something I'd enjoy, graduate and land a job making decent pay. I have no clue what I wanna do tho? Anyway, till than I'll keep trying to make as much as I can-because 1.my jobs don't make me miserable, and I'm still young and have the energy to work these kind of hours. I also still have a nice social life I've pissed so many years away being unfocused and blowing the money I made *smh* what's another year & have something to show for it. (I know that's messed up, and irresponsible but w.e it won't leave me in any long term debt *shrugs-its my life, I can make 1 more mistake) ---yep, I'm stupid I know. |

Military for at least 3 years is a great way get experience in a certain field, become disciplined, and get the GI bill for college.

I'm pretty weak tho, like if someone raises their voice at me Ill start to tear up-Its involuntary, had broken home growing up. BUT its something Ive always wanted to work past...I dunno. Anyway the idea of working while going to school seems too difficult 6am-2 than school...I know I can do it but I don't want to sacrifice my grades at that point. So yeah, I will definitely look into it. But I thought it was longer than 3years? And don't they send you overseas? I'm all for serving the country but I don't have the guts to risk having a missing limb... |

Your contract will be for a minimum of between 4-8 years combined active and reserve duty. 3 years is how long you need to stay for GI Bill. A close friend was honorably discharged with a total of just over 3 years of service and qualified for GI Bill benefits. The Navy is probably the branch you're least likely to die in (maybe Air Force, not sure)...you're not going for the Marines or Army infantry (rather, you wouldn't if you were smart). Going back to my friend, his 3 years of service were entirely domestic. Basic in Chicago, then stationed in Charlestown for part of his schooling, then Hawaii for the rest of his schooling.

You'll have to take Orbital's advice, I'm in the Canadian Navy which is run vastly differently.
