Found out a close friend's toy shop in downtown Lahina was burned down with the rest of the town. Owie.
Yeah. That one.

After months of preliminary preparations he'll still be attending the
Washington State International Kite Festival (wsikf) this week in Longbeach WA
but pretty sure he'll be seriously bummed out and worried about friends back home.

Bummer. I hope he recovers.

Another wildfire like the Chicago wildfire of 1871, or the San Francisco wild fire following the earthquake of 1907. One time, a friend of mine left a pan of grease on the stove and started a wildfire. Ruined his kitchen.

I swear people are getting more stupid everyday.

There were several wildfires in the midwest on the same day as the Chicago fire. The worst was the Peshtigo Wisconsin fire, which claimed somewhere between 1500 and 2500 lives, far more than the number who died in Chicago.

My Father did that once. Our kitchen was covered in knotty pine wood paneling (the real tongue and groove stuff, not the 4x8 fake stuff). It went up like a candle.

Yea, me too. In fact, the wall doesn't really change for me, I had to interpret what was supposed to be happening.

Not sure what that says about me.

I fart in your general direction! Your mother was a hamster and your father smelt of elderberries! Now go away or I shall taunt you a second time!

I really like the way the nameless strut brace mounts. It uses conical nuts that seat into tapered mounting holes to the top hats. It’s also extremely light in comparison to other braces I have checked out.
