I completely forgot about SS brake lines. I may look into getting those at least.

Ours finally arrived last night. There's a little flaw in the 3M clear bra on the hood, so that will have to be fixed. Otherwise it's beautiful. I dropped in the arm rest, I love it, but we'll see what the wife thinks. I also compared my aftermarket door sills to the OEM ones and couldn't help but laugh... I just can't get into the OEM boy-racer door sills and pedals.

Boosted - nice build thread. Lots of great ideas in there... You drive a lot! Where did you get the hood dampers? Are those pedals anodized black or is it just the lighting? When I searched for the pedals I couldn't find them in anything but a plain aluminum finish.

Yes, they are SRPracing pedals. They are anodized. I love them they extend the gas pedal just enough to better heal toe. Have you done the clutch adjustment DYI yet? If not I can get you a form link its huge in making the driving experience better.

Here is the link, for the pedals website I have the grid pattern and black finish. Its once you go to the buy options that you can change the finish or pattern.

Started the process to getting a BRZ today. If it all goes to plan i'll be moving over from a stage 3 legacy (already detuned to stock lats week) and an even faster '87 Grand National. Excited to have a simple car for a while...

Is this just a matter of adjusting the threaded rod between the clutch pedal and master cylinder? The DIY I found here suggests moving the release point closer to the floor... I just took the FR-S for a quick spin and it felt like I was blocked out of 2nd on a poorly rev-matched (low RPM so you wouldn't think it would matter...) down shift and upshifting into 2nd was generally notchy as well (particularly relative to 3rd and 4th). If anything, I would prefer the release point being further from the floor to ensure the clutch isn't dragging. I'm sensitive to this stuff given all the synchros I've trashed drag racing my VR-4, haha.

I remember reading about synchro issues and replacing the factory transmission fluid. Was a consensus reached on the best fluid to use?

[ame="http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=OPJi3OAsax0"]How to adjust the clutch height for a BRZ / FRS / GT86 (The man pedal) - YouTube[/ame]

There is a video link to the clutch adjustment. This is to make the clutch more in line with the brake. In stock format it is much closer then the brake making one to have a more ackward seating posture. Just adjust what he says and make sure to hold the piece with the wires so that you dont snap them. It is super easy and takes 5-10mins. The clutch engagement automatically moves since it is only effecting the angle and not the actual engagement level. If the link or video doesnt show just youtube search brz frs clutch peddle adjustment. Very step by step, great video. I have had no shifting issues, sometimes when is cold 2nd can be a pain. I also have the whiteline trans bushing and perrin throwout bushing which tighten and make it much better.

Thanks again. Are these the hood struts you used?

Not yet, but i'll be making some video after I fix a few things and get it closer to sell time. It's a pretty fun ride but pretty much the polar opposite of a BRZ: Handles like a boat w/3700lbs but can hit peak torque off the line.

No I got mine long ago. Not sure on thr brand at this point. Grim speed makes great stuff I have their battery tie down and master cylinder brance. If this had been around when I was looking I would have bought their product.

When I was regularly going to San Antonio Raceway, half the time there'd be this GN running 9's, very consistently. The owner was very friendly and knowledgable - buzn1/2duzn or something like that was his user name on local forums, if that rings any bells.
