The good news (for me, anyway) is that my POE, Portland, is the closest US port to Japan navigating the great circle route and fleet orders are almost always processed first. Ship transit time to Portland is 7 days, add 3 for processing, 1 for delivery, so once I get the VIN it's 11 days to fun times. So if the VIN is issued today, that will give me a week after delivery to install performance tires, exhaust, intake, get an alignment, replace engine and driveline fluids all after the 1,000 mile break-in before the first SCCA autocross in June. I might not be posting for awhile after getting the keys.

Too many posts to read them all looking for this question.
So how hard could it be to disable the goofy lights? |

There's another sometime between tomorrow and next week and the third is always the first day of any month to provide an incentive for dealers to report sales at month end to both earn more inventory and for industry bragging rights. I'll let everyone know ASAP. Getting close. Exciting, but at least I'm getting some work done. Once it arrives, see ya. |

Got the VIN tonight, car is built and in transit, ETA Portland June 4th. That means the ship is probably stopping first in Guam, then Nanaimo, B.C., and then here.
It also means that badge #1 will most likely go to an owner in one of those areas. Checking dates, processing times and weekends, it's looking like I'll take delivery on June 10th. Last edited by torqdork; 05-17-2013 at 12:00 AM. |

I am guessing you will be one of the first ones in forum to have one.

The northern route ships usually unload in Guam, Nanaimo, Portland, Benica and Long Beach. Interesting trivia, all of the ships are climate controlled and load up on fruits for the return voyage. Toyota makes serious ¥ importing US produce into the homeland. A nice Florida navel orange or Northwest apple, things we don't even think about here, are sold in Tokyo department stores, individually wrapped and boxed, for $5 each. |
