Yea, wow that IS a tight fit. A 8" and et+53 would come INWARDS another 18mm. It honestly looks like there's only like 10mm of clearance there. I suppose Coilovers could help the cause.

haha thanks man. Alot of people on here have good taste.
I have Quite a Few Favorite Wheels, But ALOT of them REALLY only look good in aggressive LOW offsets. wheels like the advan RS, and Enkei NT03m are Amazing in aggressive concave offsets, but don't nearly as good with higher, flat faced offsets -These are special Edition ENKEI NT03m in a custom black with a low offset (gorgeous) ![]() Here's the same model of Enkei's in a Higher offset Does NOT look right IMO anyways, i digress... Can't wait to see what some people do with this car! and i still haven't decided BRZ or FR-S...i honestly have refundable deposits on BOTH right now..lol

wouldn't mind a set of Wed Sport SA 55M's, but I've read repeatedly that the finish scratches pretty easily.

you can easily keep your stock tire and put it on an 8" rim or a 6" rim, the change in overall diameter will have a slight effect on the speedo/actual speed variation but who gives a fuck centerbore is nice but not vital as long as you put the wheels on correctly and not torque the first nut to 500lb without even threading on the other ones. and offset has no effect on what kind of tire you choose (unless we go into extremes or hellaflush)

For the centerbore. I was always under the impression/taug ht that it was pretty important that the wheel properly sit on the lip of the hub, and not just be held on with lugs. The sruds arent meant to be taking shear forces. I used to be a mechanic . So im not completly talking out of my ass. I HAVE seen studs break like this before. Not trying to bust your balls, just dont want people thinking that this is "okay". Im also under the mindset that when i buy rims i dont care if the stock tires fit or not. Since i always run summer/winter rubber anyways.

the clamping force is what holds the wheel in place, the centering ring is there to help center the wheel when you install it for balancing purposes
if you're shearing the bolts/studs, that means you've surpassed the clamping force. in my own experience, most people do not install their wheels correctly, even racers without rings, the procedure is to hand tighten in a start pattern, SLOWLY (the most important part that is often ignored, esp by users of air/power tools), so that the centering force of each individual nut brings the entire wheel into proper alignment. Final torquing should be done with the wheel in the air. hell, this should be the procedure even WITH the rings, as this will guarantee the most balanced installation sources: http://www.tirerack.com/FAQ/results.jsp?category=Wheels (read the lug and hub centric bits) http://www.prestigewheel.com/Catalog/HubRings66_67.pdf i have personally corrected many "vibrating wheels" after leaving various mechanics by simply re-installing the wheels by hand and standard torque wrench. edit, more reading material http://www.metalconsult.com/articles...20Failures.pdf
