thanks man!
i see some people have some fancy signatures...kind of want to make one for myself but am too lazy and as an update for the "build" if it can even be called that. i've come to a point with this car, where i've put in a lot of work, and never really just stepped back, looked at it, and just enjoyed what i have. so for now, i'm just going to leave it and enjoy what i've done so far. that means drive the wheels off, go to meets/events, auto-x as much as i have free time for, track as well. the car is so good to drive i really dont want to mod it, but i most likely will anyways...i still want to do the FD and a headerback but there is absolutely no rush. i'm coming up on 25k miles and i love the brz as much if not more than the day i took it home. i'm picking up new gear so i'll just take photos of the car and post in here, for now modding is somewhat on the back burner as i really enjoy the stage it's in now. i couldn't care less if its not the most modded to hell car at a local event or etc. i've put together something to fit my needs, and the interior is almost where i want it. after that its a very well rounded car. |

Do you have any fender garnishes that tickle your fancy? Seems like you'd enjoy something flat and plain, but no one seems to make anything like that. The best idea I've seen is to get the FR-S fender garnish and wrap it how you want without having the piston emblem attached, like so:
Any desire for something like that? Or you're cool with the stock BRZ ones? I also like the Prova ones. |

i'm perfectly happy with stock ones. kind of wanted the TRD but the fins are just too massive.
prova looks the same as stock to me. |

It's the back mesh design that changes it up. The intrusive fin is similar, but definitely different. It's subtle, but I guess you don't do subtle. haha
I totally thought you'd be down for a debadged FR-S one to have a flat garnish! Of course having paint-matched vinyl... I dunno. Would probably have to wrap it first, then paint it. Seems like it would be flimsy, though. |

Definitely not a fan of the TE37's, but you can make any wheel look good. I think you could pull of 17" wheels nicely. Wheels are the easiest things to change and feel refreshed.

Jive,
how does it drive with the 18" wheels? Do you feel that it really slows the car down? |

@Jive Turkey
I am thinking about getting 17x8.5/9.5 OR 9.5 square OR 8.5 square in the Konig Torch in silver (http://www.konigwheels.com/Konig-Hom...s/TORCH-SILVER). What is your suggestion on staggered vs. squared relative to width? I plan on dropping the car with Bilstein B14's |

so in short, yes you feel the weight, but not anything significant. depending what wheels you get and what tire...having an 18" setup could even drop weight. hell 255/35 DWS on 18x9.5 TE37SL is lighter than OEM setup by about a pound i think. OEM is somewhere around 41lbs per corner with tires? Quote:
since you're on coilovers (good ones too!) you can get away with a meaty setup and utilize it. dial camber up front, take some out of the rear. toe in the rear. slight toe out front. and it will be an animal. also it all depends on what tires you go with. if they run wide, go with a 255/35 on a 9.5' rim. -ivan |
