I applaud your upgrade methodology. This systems approach you have taken addresses key failure areas in the drivetrain before adding big HP and Torque.

Do you intend to add tranmission and differential cooling?

Good luck with your build.

Thank you, that was definitely my thought process. I wanted to make sure that the rest of the car could handle the power that will be added. I have been looking at cooling for both yes, i am waiting for some development that is in the process for a transmission cooler. That will probably happen first, and then i will add a differential cooler later as i will probably upgrade to a clutchpack style diff at that time as well.

So this happened yesterday....

So I am ok. I came up to a stop light on my way to work, it was raining so the road was slick, and a truck came up behind me and locked up his brakes and slid right into me. I will find out tomorrow the estimate of the damages. The driver had insurance and all is being taken care of. But I am definitely sad about it, I am hoping that it looks like it did before the accident so we will see.

$6,042 in repairs, not sure how long it will take since they have to wait for Subaru on most of the parts.

So the date that was given to me is the car will be ready around the 17th, mostly waiting on parts. I am continuing to purchase parts, I am waiting for black Friday however to buy the axles and a few other goodies due to possible deals. I should have the new diff in a couple weeks, which I am excited about. And I should be able to get everything installed (diff, axles, velox diveshaft) on the 14th of December. Hopefully at that point I will be able to give everyone a comparison of the driveshafts and let you guys know if the knuckles on the velox shaft hit the kartboy short shifter. I am also contemplating getting myself a Christmas present as well in the form of a new steering wheel. Not sure yet but I am definitely eye balling one of those NRG ones, specifically the 315 MM carbon fiber/leather with red stitching one.

Got my Diff delivered the other day from Spencer Fabrications Co. Complete with a 3.73 final drive, solid spacer, Supra bearing, and a Harrop diff cover. After talking with Mark, this will do nicely for my power goals and should hold up well. If anything happens to it I will get an OS Giken Super Lock.

I go to pick up the car tomorrow, still waiting on a couple parts that were either back ordered or just haven't shown up yet. Really its just the taillights and a new striker plate for the door. I don't want to wait any longer or leave it there while they wait for the parts to show up. I will pick it up and just take it back once the parts arrive. I am just waiting on some black Friday deals to show up and see if I can snag some axles for a good price and then I will grab em and have them installed on the 14th along with the new diff and driveshaft.

I got the car back finally the day before Thanksgiving, I am very impressed with how it came out. However, they screwed up multiple other things in the process. There is a dent on the passenger side they "installed" that they now have to fix when I bring it back in, the ruined my tint on my rear window, and they broke my intec high mount brake light. With that being said, I was already planning on replacing my rear tint and that intec because it never stayed where it needed to stay in high heat. So I am not too upset, but they also have no idea how to install mudflaps, and screwed some things up there. I am just going to remove the mudflaps all together.

On a side note, I ordered up a new NRG steering wheel with adapter and quick disconnect along with a DSS Pro axle and hub kit. I got a really good deal over at FRSport.com, which had them for 30% off for a black Friday deal.

Got my NRG 315mm steering wheel in Carbon Fiber and leather with red stitching in. Also got the NRG hub and quick disconnect ver 3. My Pro Axles are being made, so hopefully I will get those in soon. The axles will be the last thing I get installed until I have the motor and turbo kit done.

Side note, I have to take the car back to the shop to have them fix a couple things. They are going to fix a dent they "installed" on the passenger side, they will also replace the driver side striker plate for the door, and replacing my rear window tint and hi-mount brake light. I am however going to get a CDC hi-mount brake light made for a mustang instead of the intec because from what I have heard it holds much better in all weather conditions. I always had issues with my intec slowly falling down and hanging due to the heat and the tape isn't strong enough to hold it, the CDC one has tape on all 4 sides and is lighter.
