The FT-86 is gonna be a whole lot more than the 20-30k price tag some of u r expecting.... This is supra territory now.... Like someone said this will be competing amongst the 370z, EVO X , STI price range if not alot more..... Sure this is the concept II but its being released at the end of this year!!!! Apart from all the carbon fibre and standard vented brake discs i think this will be very similar to final production.....

let's not get rumors started. i have no problem when someone says "i think this is gonna be" but i hate it when someone says "this IS gonna be" even though they are just speculating. and then some gullible person on the web acts like it's an official announcement rather than speculation and posts it all over the web.

"this IS gonna be?" how the hell do you know? do you work for toyota? it is very likely that the carbon fiber parts, brakes and large wheels are dealer available options like the G's concept we saw at the Tokyo Auto Salon. it is still very likely that the standard model with limited options will still come in the mid 20k USD price range. BUT NONE OF US WILL KNOW FOR SURE UNTIL TOYOTA ANNOUNCES IT. SO DON'T POST CRAP LIKE YOU KNOW FOR SURE ABOUT SOMETHING WHEN YOU DON'T.

Holy sh&t!! I leave for a couple of days and the newbs have just about taken over....jk, very exciting, the back fender lines do remind me of a supra but I dont know.... Do like the CF though

Good thing is, if the front is a Lil longer.... Makes for more swap options given your not satisfied with the original power plant

Question is the height of hood. It is made for boxer engine, it's gonna be pretty hard to put other engine... other than H4 or H6 engines.

True, but depending how high it would stick out you could mod hood or have one made(example cowl induction hood, not that I'd put one on the ft) then it might work, like when they put the Titan V8 into the g35, had to cut the hood a Lil, a knowledgeable fab guy could make that into a vent or something

I will venture a guess that if this platform goes Lexus, might it wind up with a H6 with Yamaha heads and rev up to 8k? One can only hope

Edit: we now have 2000+ viewing the general forum
