Aftermarket support? Are you serious? Have you taken a look at the aftermarket support for a Scion lately? It rivals every other brand out there bro.

Anyhow, I'll believe this when I see it. Regardless if it's Toyota or Scion, I've said before, I don't care. I like both. Thus I'm ridden of the struggles you pure Toyota guys face.

I won't cry if it becomes a Toyota. But you guys will commit SEPPUKU if it becomes a Scion....

I'm sure the guys who "run" scion orgasmed when the TOYOTA FT-86 concept started cruising around and said "we have to have this car so we can attach it to an over hyped racing team!"

Scion is just a wanna be car company, I mean really. They don't have anything that is their "own". It's all remodeled Toyota's. Poorly done at that.

Flame suit equipped, I know Dragonatti is out there somewhere ready to stuff it down my throat.

I'm good. I've come to the terms that you guys will never get it thus no need to debate with you anymore. My Scion speaks for itself, you should know this by now. It's not me who will have a heart attack if it becomes a Scion or if it becomes a Toyota.

Situation = Win Win for me. I'm laughing at all the so-called/self-proclaimed financial and marketing experts in this forum though.

True that. Enthusiasts are like endangered species now. If carmakers decide to go green, we will be killed off soon. Hopefully, there will be something green like Tesla Roadster.

That V8 is axed for 2011. Running the tC2's new 2ar engine now....Just FYI.

Besides that was the only tC with a motor swap in it that was competing professionally. All the OTHER racing teams were running the factory motors. Including the other drift tC that Ken Gushi drives.

One car out of many, and people take that as the example....geesh.

Dragonitti, don't take it to hart man. Seriously you represent like 0.001% of the scion market. In fact your car is great because of what you made it, not because it's a scion. and you know what your talking about. All iv heard from scion guys before speaking to you was total that's why it took me so damn long to drop that stereotype from you. But you obviously built a great car there and really know how to drive it.
You could have also bought another car and made it great instead of the tC :p

I don't. That % is a lot larger than that, but it's all good. I'm ready for this car though (even though I'm waiting a year after it's been out before buying it). Till then, I got some Really BIG BALLER plans for the tC.

Alert: Flame suit on everyone.

I'm not saying that Scion is bad, but it's not good enough. What is demographic age of the brand? 16-25/29(at best)
You know how much insurance would charge people under 24 for driving a 2 doors RWD, right? Or Maybe Scion wants to move up its demographic age to 25-35/40? I don't know, and you don't know either.

I'm hoping Canada will get the international version, even though Scion is being introduced there too.

FYI....Scion has a demographic range of 25-50yrs old. Oldest guy in my crew is a 50yr old dude who has to carry around an oxygen tank with tubes in his nose to breathe. He has a Scion xA. If you are scared about little teens getting an FT and driving insurance cost up, I would imagine the price point of the car would weed out those type of individuals.

Just for the record, I'm 31yrs old myself. Regardless of what demographic is buying it, my insurance will be based on MY age not someone else.

Demographic of Scion is more like 20-30 [This was told to me by the dealer who sold me my car]
whereas Toyota is more like 55 - 65 hence why they want to introduce a car like the FT86 to toyota, to gain more young buyers.

if they MUST make it a scion i will grudgingly accept it IF

1. the interior isn't the cheapo plastic interiors i've seen in every scion i've been in

2. the styling is exactly the same as jdm and euro spec models. no scion only front fascia and rear end please.

3. the drive train is exactly the same as jdm and euro spec models. no higher displacement, torquey but less revvy and more boring us spec engine please.
