Does anyone have any data to back this up? You would think Toyota would mention something, or someone would have noticed a different cam, exhaust, intake, etc. that would account for this change.

Went looking for data when I first read this here and could find nothing. Mind you this was also the first time I ever heard anybody say anything like this so went on my search with a touch of skepticism that may have skewed my results.

As an M3 driver I am a little offended that you even put 3 series and Lexus in the same sentence. Again, night and day.

I was coming from an old beat up grand prix gtp with horrible suspension issues followed by a wrangler rubicon that also had suspension issues, so my brz rides like a dream if you ask me!

Mike FTW!

I hear ya on that one! Had some horrible suspensions in the past that made mine now seem like a Cadillac.

I didn't say any specific model. You just made the assumption and compared it to a M3. Surely you don't consider a 328i to be the equivalent of a M3, do you? For argument's sake I'm sure you understood the point I was trying to make to OP.

There are plenty of cars made by Lexus that I'd choose over a BMW, but that's just my preference. Just like the FR-S was my preference over many cars.

ill never be completely happy with any car. That's what makes me a true enthusiast. I'm always trying to change everything to match me perfectly. I do pretty well, but it's something I struggle with. You should see my other cars. But I won't settle at "I bought the wrong car".

Why? Because I'm SO close to perfection with this thing. It's going to be my daily driver. With a little help from this forum, it'll be a great one for many years to come.
I actually feel exactly the same. I'm just skeptical that those mods will actually make that big of an impact. I'm actually disappointed I have a spoiler just because I want the 5 axis, and I have underbody panels on my list, although close to the end of it.

Next weekend I'm installing OFH and Perrin 2.5" with stage 2 tune, and the weekend after that motul 300, slave cylinder, raceseng slammer, and I already did clutch grab. Might be a bit much for a daily driver, but I think I'm going to love it.

I've been hoping to see stock-to-stock dyno comparisons but nobody really does that. Unfortunately I'll be out of town on the 21st when my club is doing a dyno day but maybe others would show and try?

The thing to remember also is announcing a fix is acknowledging a problem. If they only smoothed it out via tuning it's kinda like no harm no foul. Software updates don't usually make vehicle update announcements unless they change something major. There are many great tuners on this forum that have been able to flatten it out a bit too.

Back to back dyno of a stock '13 vs. stock '15 would likely settle this issue.

I have a '14 and if you put even 50 lbs in the trunk it feels like your a half inch from the bumpstops.

I was only kidding about being offended.
I understand your point and agree that some (actually, most) BMW's are boring and wouldn't be worth having.

I am skeptical for a couple of reasons.
One being that I actually drove a 13, my 14 and a 15 back to back and never noticed any difference between them as far as the dip goes. Now in fairness I wasn't focusing on that aspect but was concentrating more on the differences in handling so it could have slipped by.
The other is a bit more subjective in the simple fact that nobody has made that statement before. I would think that something that high a profile would have been plastered all over here by now if it made that big a difference!
If it was some small easy to do change there would be a pile of very happy guys on here.
