Nice, o they have a free roam around some kind of a city? I really like just actually building a car then cruising around trying to be legal, it's not easy when people just jump out after u(other cars)

I also heard it's pretty difficult to drift on this game, it was a lot more realistic on forza3 now I got that down but I'm wondering with this be even more or about the same? Has anybody drifted on both?

I could drift on prologue using an RX7. I could even powerslide and etc with Evos, Stis, and GTRs. You need to turn off driving aids. As a matter of fact, "Drift" is actually an option as a competition on tracks on prologue. (Weird wording, sorry)

That's how it is in froze, in fact in forza3 the driving style dosnt change like it does in previous racing games(NFS ect..), the drift races handles just like if you were regularly racing, you just have to get good at actually learning how to drift, and break with no aids and in Manual because auto is limited on the drift distance and ability to take on hairpins and longer drawn-out turn. Does gt5 actually change how the cars handle on drift races or keep it the same as if you were racing like forza3

IDK, I never played Forza so can't answer that q... but GT is always been unique on driving simulation. GT3 you can drift without problem, but GT4 needed lil more skill. GT5P they kinda went back to GT3, yet nice graphics and g-force. GT5TA was totally different from other GT series it drift like crazy! If GT5 gonna be like GT5TA then it'll be easy to drift, if it's gonna be GT5P then it's all up to set up and your skills

Honestly I prefer it where it's not easy to drift and you have to get skilled but that's just me, I think the gt5p is like forza3

GT5P is harder to drift in only because they're doing a better job modelling tire effects and weight transfer (on the simulation physics mode, only way to play!). Plus only stock cars. I owned in GT4 but GT5P is much more technical. Oh and clutch-kicking helps in the GT series, I don't remember if you can do it in Forza.

For some reason Forza never felt right to me, I thought it was the controls so I bought a wheel but there is still something weird with their physics...

IMO GT4 physics are way better than Forza, and GT5P physics are way better than GT4.

And GT series only changes physics between arcade mode and the normal game.

^ don't forget GT5P has "Normal" and "Professional" Physics. Pro mode for very realistic anything (drifting, racing, driving etc etc)

Forza 3 feels like an Arcade game to me... I couldn't get into it. And all the cars sound the same.

GT3 & 4 were my first GT series games that I owned, but I played GT1 and 2 a bunch at a friends place. GT5 feels right, the way the controls are, the way the cars feel -- how each car is properly different from one another. It makes sense. Forza didn't.

And -- This song... I want it. Does anyone know what it is? I've been listening to it and picking my jaw up off the floor as the wet track view @ 10 seconds scrolls by.

also :: From a Forza Fan.

When you say forza do you mean the new or older ones?

Forza 2. I bought it cause I needed a fix for the long wait of GT5. I think they wasted too much time on customizing and damage and not enough on the driving. I was expecting it to be better than GT4 from everything I heard (plus being on the Xbox 360 vs GT4 PS2). But it didn't deliver. Graphics were almost the same as GT4 and the driving was a step back.

I would like Forza's visual customization in GT5, though.

What are you talking about? Haha, were you playing Forza 2 on a Standard def. TV or something? Forza 2 was light years ahead of GT4 in terms of graphics, and in terms of physics, at least it actually felt like you were driving on a road in Forza, GT4 felt like your car was driving on ice or glass.

You should really try Forza 3 though, it's a hell of a lot better than Forza 2, and FAR better than GT4 (as you would expect). It's not quite up to the level of GT5P in terms of graphics (what do you expect when PS3 uses blu-ray over DVD's, and better hardware alltogether), but IMO the driving feel and car dymanics, etc. are way better than GT5P. I'm obviously not sure how they've changed (hopefully improved) that in GT5.

This is all coming from a person that's played all of the GT's up to GT5P, and have played all of the Forza's - but not too much on the first one. I used to think the GT series was the best, now I think the Forza series is. I'll be interested to see how the next Forza (on a different/newer console) stands up to GT5, or GT6 (If it comes out on time), I think it will be even better still.

I think Forza has made massive improvements with every game they have made, whereas GT started out good, and then made small improvents throughout GT1-4, but I think they're quickly losing the lead with GT5.
