Really depends on how the adjuster sees how much it will cost to fix. That is rather a silly comment since everyone should know that.

With that being said the cheaper price of the car, I know poor choice of words, the quicker they will be to write it off and write you a check for the same year car that was totaled. Not unless you have that insurance that writes you a check for a car one year newer.

I say totaled, that rear tire and the fact that it is rear wheel drive helps with that determination; it will be much tougher to get the rear wheel drive and everything working in concert.

Good thing you didn't fracture your Sternum. Seems to be a pretty common injury due to Seat belts.
