I typically change mine about every 3500-4000 miles. Did my first oil change a month ago or so at 4000 miles.

Fyi, just got kick back from the dealership service department for going in too early for oil change. My mileage is 5K. The guy said they cannot do oil change unless its been 7.5 month or 7500 miles whichever come first. Need to pay for it if I insist to do it now.
I guess the dealership cannot get reimbursement from toyota for early service. But i got a letter from Toyota reminding me to do service 6 months or 5k miles whichever comes first. The guy said its a computer error; mixing up toyota with scion. lol... |

I've gotten that too from my dealership. I got a service package when I got my car and the lady said I was using up my services quickly. Its going to get complicated because I was projected to have 13000 mile in 6/2014, but so far I only have 11,000. The brz has become a weekend car so the miles aren't racking up quick enough for them lol.
