I guess the wait is over and I am officially disappointed. Same old disappointment with the BWM 1 series. It will be $26K with the next year model and before you know it will be $30K. Somehow, you can do it with cars, while prices of everything else keeps falling or steady. Adios, farewell, sayonara....

I'll bite (was nibbling earlier), I do agree with the pricing on the car. Considering what it is, it falls in line with speculated pricing. As for the BRZ, one needs to take into account the rarity tax that I foresee dealers tacking on. In the end the prices will be so close it'll be a matter of which badge you prefer more, after options have been added to the FR-S.

And you say it isn't? The fact that the price mentioned in this thread is higher than the GC 2.0T and the Veloster Turbo, doesn't mean that it isn't affordable.

It better come with Bespoke for that price. I actually was $700 off what I thought it would be.

The pricing rate of new cars is simply eclipsing the rise in our average salaries (which is pretty stagnant year to year).

25K is reasonable and expected for the car.

Go price a new civic or camry...nothing seems cheap anymore.

Tada said Toyota wants the FT-86's sticker price to be in the $20,000 range. “It won't sell if it's over 3 million yen ($30,000),” he said. “The price has to appeal to regular customers.”

Now, I already know your response is going to be 25k is in the 20k range, but in reality with what he said it's not. 20k range to most people will defeinanly be 20k-23k while mid 20's will be 23-27k. They're getting really close to 30k range with top end models.

But yeah, fully loaded (with all of the TRD-stuff) isn't 28k... It's more.

Nice price i think. Isn't gencoupe with r-spec (LSD) much more expensive?

I just hope this means we get all the specs tomorrow, including what comes with base model and what/how much options are.
