It might be standard. We won't know till pricing and final specs are released. Scion wants this deck as the standard deck on all Scions in the near future...ie 2013\2014 model years...The FR-S will be the first Scion offering this unit. It's called bespoke and it's not a Pioneer app radio unit. Its something different and it uses apps running in the cloud using you phone as the internet connection.

It would be interesting if Scion decided to offer the Pioneer Premium as the standard audio system with the Bespoke being their usual $500 upgrade. I have no problems with the premium system it is very good for factory audio.

Of course if they are going all in, as tripjammer believes, and offering Bespoke standard then that's even better.
The Red manual FR-S that i drove had this sound system

the blue automatic FR-S that i first sat in had the system u see in the pic in my original thread post. I can try to get confirmation that its the Bespoke or not

Thanks
i drove a 328 a few months ago and a cooper s about a year ago..both were very good, the FR-S steering was balanced, it was sort of a "heavy" turn in but it still felt light and controllable.

Mike from Scion said it was the drift FR-S. might be a padded cover to throw off the shape

there are two moveable cup holders in the center unit, there is no storage compartment just a big open bin. i didn't find a need for a arm rest because my hand was always on the shifter/steering wheel, but on long drives i find this could be a little tedious.

I didn't notice any paint flaws, but I could've missed it, these prototypes I believe have been looked at quite a lot by journalists and Scion employees

My direct competition for the FR-S is the 2013 Mustang V6. the Mustang MSRP is 22,200 (+ Destination fee $700)

So i want to see pricing on the FR-S around 22-23500

but honestly the FR-S felt much better than the Mustang and so after driving it again i would be willing to splurge a little if they go 24000...above that though and idk if i would personally do it..

but then again idk how much it cost them to develop this car..it IS a Toyota and they use more quality parts throughout the vehicle.

possibly, i know at a glance there was a MPG count, I can ask if the FR-S has that

The standard stereo is also a Pioneer, but it is not touchscreen. I believe the optional system adds the touchscreen layout and a subwoofer/better speakers, as well as more audio controls, like EQ settings
