Isn't Fall technically September, October and November? Because Summer seems to be defined by when kids have school out, which is typically June, July and August. So I'm hoping they mean "early September", but will actually be mid-to-late August.

The school starts their fall semester by mid August. That's how ppl refer and translate it to months. Correct me if I'm wrong!

No, you're right, but I'm not trying to split months. That's just overly complicating things. Otherwise Fall is August, September and October and Summer is May, June and July. I think that's more appropriate by modern standards, but I don't think it's been that way traditionally.

Plus, Japanese schooling is year-round for the most part (I think their "break" is in the winter?), so we're at their mercy regardless.
