Ya forgot you americans get an automatic 25% discount on almost all cars so it might be possible. Up here i believe the ms3 is close to 30 already nevermind changing to a dedicated sports platform and rwd.

The last attractive car mazda ever made was the rx7 FD. I dont know what the hell they are thinking releasing the pokemon face cars, and this one just looks terrible and confused in its styling. So outrageously generic and terrible. Like putting a land-o-lakes box of butter on a dinner table at a fancy restaraunt, does it work? yeah, but is it classy? fuck no.

UPDATE
As MazdaUSA has hinted, the incoming 2015 Mazda3 S trims has an available 6 speed manual transmission. Hatchback has a curb weight ~2978lbs while sedan comes out to ~2947lbs. Hatchback EPA estimated MPG scores are 26 city 35 highway, Sedan's scores are 25 city 37 highway. For comparison, the 2.0L i trims with standard are rated 29 city 40 highway and 29 city 41 highway, respectively. The FRS/BRZ with AT is rated for 25 city 34 highway.
The nearest one to me right now is Lou Fusz in St. Louis. So unless I happen to be in town, I won't be test driving anytime soon.

F' YEAH!
I was let down that you couldn't get the 3 with the big engine and the 6 spd. I'm glad that's changing. A co-worker just got the 3-sedan with "body trim" package (front/rear spoiler, side trim) in that beautiful red and it is gorgeous.
