I guess I'm reading between the lines here. Are you saying the FR-S comes with Halogen's as standard equipment?

I'm pretty sure that's what your saying but I'm not 100% posititive. For the record, I'm clueless as to what the FR-S comes with standard.

Your article was a great read by the way. Definatly explains the difference between the two.

EDIT: Sorry. I'm a fucking retard today. It's already been confirmed the FR-S is not coming with HID's so of course the answer to my question is "yes, the FR-s is going to come with halogen or equivilent filiment bulbs".... DERRRP!

Well if it came with HIDs why would anyone be talking about swapping them in?

I guess I was trying to confirm the halogen part.

But then again I thought about it and realized exactly what your leading onto. It doesn't make sense to talk about swaps if they weren't Halogens in the first place.

Sorry, I had one of those DERP moments. I'll just leave this here.

I would love a Limited BRZ, but I don't care for the spoiler too much. I like the Push Button Start option, but I like it more for the "Smart Key" and ease of getting in and out of the car. The climate control isn't a deal breaker and I don't need heated seats or leather.

So more and more it's looking like either the FRS or the BRZ Premium. Unless the Limited is priced right. And the so far the estimated prices for all models are inching higher and higher.

I hope they are $23k for the FRS, $25k for the BRZ and $27k for the Limited.
Sigh.
I still think the limited is only going to be about $1500 more than the premium (I guess heated seats, leather\alacantara seats and dual zone HVAC, and a rear wing are expensive stuff)...but $26k to 27k sounds about what I been hearing...we will find out Monday...

I think the BRZ premium is only going to be $1000-$1500 more than the FR-S. NAVs use to cost $2000, they don't anymore. If it's only $1000 to $1500 more, they will be selling a lot of BRZ premiums...If they would have just thrown in the push start on the premium, I would be all over it. I don't really care for the heated seats, and rear wing of the Limited. It's totally stupid that they engineered two different HVAC units in this car. They should have gone with one type of HVAC like Nissan did in the 350z\370z.

I agree...I would be all over the limited if it was 26 grand but I think it's going to be around 27ish

I look at it this way if the BRZ Limited MSRP is $4k or less of a difference from the FR-S MSRP I will consider it to a certain point. The only way I will not consider a BRZ at all is if a BRZ Limited is an MSRP of $31k or more.

I was pretty much on board the FR-S train until a few days ago, when I saw pictures of the FR-S and BRZ interior side by side. Plus rumors that the Scion wouldn't include HIDs turned me off (seeing as Scions are monospec, I don't think they'd be able to install HIDs outside of the factory). My current car has HIDs and Navi, so I don't want to buy a brand new car and downgrade, so I'm probably gonna go with the BRZ now.

I had really hoped that we'd have gotten the Toyota version (meaning the JDM 86/Euro GT86) since I wanted all the nice interior amenities + HIDs and I strongly prefer the Toyota 86 headlights and bumper.

Now the harder decision is between SWP and DGM...

suspension doesn't make a difference because it is VERY likely that I'll get coilovers.

cool, I agree that it is big and the visibility is weird.
neither of these bothers me enough though the times I have driven the camaro. and my next car (be it camaro or FR-S) will be in addition to what i already have and will be my weekend fun car, If i need visibility and a small footprint i have the xD or one of my bikes.

i like the more simple fr-s inside but i like the brz front bumper(At least the side of it, because its not so elongated and weird on the sides. Definitely more reserved) BRZ FRONT KILLS IT THOUGH! that fucking face IS ALL I SEE When i see the bumper from the front angle.

I think the exact opposite. I slightly prefer the front end of the FR-S, but the BRZ kills on the interior for me! lol
