Nothing against you man, I've just seen this totally innocent question get badly wrong answers too many times.

This is a Vortech thread. I'm agreeing with someone interested in Vortech as to my opinion. I'm not bashing any turbo or turbo company. For my style of driving this is the way to go.

PSA!!!

Sorry everybody, due to people being pissy about threads they are not required to read or post in, no one is allowed to share their opinion on anything, whether agreeing with or disagreeing with any previous opinions posted. I repeat, any opinions posted in any thread about anything will have to be removed so we do not anger people with nothing better to do than bitch about someone else's opinion.

This has been a public service announcement.

The reason I made this thread was to help show what the Vortech kit can do ya it take more to get the power then a turbo. But it's still there for those who didn't think it could be done with headers I could get close to 400. If I took this same set up to sea level I would be there now. Sure the TQ isn't as high as on all the turbo cars if I want more TQ I would have went with a turbo. I wanted to try something different. I am satisfied with it the results I have gotten. Can't wait to see what comes next.

Not necessarily. The testing I've heard with headers and the SC kit didn't result in any considerable power gain when compared to stock header.

Also, those numbers are already corrected. You'd make around the same so long as the dynos were calibrated to equal each other.

I am running a 2.88 pulley. Not sure what you want as far a ratio of E-85. I have two maps one for me and one for when everyone else drive the car with a rev limit of 3000. So far the clutch is good. Will watch it over the weekend.

I wonder why that is. I under stand that but it would make more power being at sea level it would make more boost.

The point is, every single Vortech thread so far has turbo guys jumping in saying how there's no point buying Vortech because turbo's are more efficient per psi.

This shouldn't be news to anybody, and is really starting to pollute these Vortech threads.

I'm all for discussing different options & opinions, it just gets tiring hearing the same bickering from the same people in every single Vortech thread.

I think you should go back and look at the posts made and realize you are a bit defensive here. No one has said don't buy a Vortech. Red alert asked a genuine question, and it was answered. In those answers, no one said Vortech is POS or similar. His question was respectfully answered by several forum members, even Brian.

Also, the only answer even questioning Vortech a bit, was completely respectful, and offered his opinion on why he has doubts on the kit (Which I believe has a place in the thread and was a valid comment).

Step back a bit, and don't take every single comment about SC kits as being bad, bashing or haters. The only thing so far has been respectful disagreement. There is a place for that in this thread and every other thread. :happy0180:

My guess is flow limitation isn't in the header for that pressure level.

Well perhaps I'm being a bit defensive, I appoligize, just the impression I got from quickly skimming through the thread.

I'll step out now, I could definitely have read it all wrong
